One of Jacob's new platters. Design inspiration came from a coloring book. We all think it worked out really well. The new bowl is thrown and altered with a split rim. The critters are carved over brown and dark slip. The kilns have been firing at a pretty steady pace these days. Lots of pots being made. We hope that if you are around that you will stop in on May the 9th, Bluffton Village Festival Day. Jacob will be throwing pots outside, Tim Holsinger, will be on hand with new pots and information about up coming classes. We are also hoping That Peter Lamb will be there turning some beautiful wooden pieces. We may even have Scott Kinsey around for awhile playing the fiddle. Hope to see you then.
When you are lucky enough to work in a field, where if someone comes in with an idea you can help them make it a reality, life is good. Thank you Maria and Michelle, it was great working with you.
A few days ago we posted Tim's students glazing pots. Here are the results. There were smiles all around, from teacher and students.
